Share Knowsley are currently looking to recruit three new trustees to join our Board which is made up of a small team who are collectively responsible for developing and guiding the strategic direction of the organisation, ensuring its long-term stability.

We are a welcoming group that is made up of people from all walks of life with experience both personally and professionally, that help us to steer the direction and governance of the charity.

Having recently undertaken a skills audit of the Board we are now looking for people with skills and experience in Business, Accounting, Campaigning, or Fundraising.  We also wish to widen the diversity of the Board and would welcome applications from those with the lived experience of being an Asylum Seeker or Refugee.

We would welcome Trustees who have previous board experience or professional careers as well as others who have the ability, integrity and time to take on this important role.  We also encourage those with lived experience apply for this role. Don’t be discouraged if this isn’t something you’ve done before,  we will provide mentoring and training to support new Trustees to understand their role.

Share Knowsley is an organisation fully committed to inclusivity, equality and fairness. Anyone wishing to join the Board of Trustees will have to demonstrate their wholehearted support of these principles.

Currently, the Board meet once every two months on a Tuesday evening.

Time is also needed for reading, training, and communication.  It is expected that Trustees familiarise themselves with their responsibilities and stay up to date about the work of the charity and how current legislation affects its ability to function and future development.
